My idea for a prototype using Augmented reality revolves around a morning ritual staple. The shower.
Shower interaction are fairly simple, either two controls one for hot and one for cold as shown in the image below.

Or a flick mix style where you turn the dial left or right for hotter or colder and push down or pull up for more or less water pressure.

The common issue with both of these systems if the necessary tweaking which is required after first entering the shower to achieve the optimal temperature.
My variation on this initial design would have two circular dials. One which would control the hot / cold mix and one which would control the pressure. However rather than providing the free spinning or a traditional system these controls would turn click by click.
Adjusting the temperature control by one click would adjust the temperature up or down by half of a degree. While adjusting the pressure control would increase or decrease the pressure by five PSI. The current and changing levels would be displayed on a small screen.

Such a prototype could be used to test if the design was intuitive and the concept interesting to users before any physical prototype using water would need to be constructed.
